Jeanne has dedicated her career in service to people who have struggled with emotional distress. It was the founder of psychotherapy, Sigmund Freud, who enticed Jeanne into the field of mental health. She remembers reading his book, “Interpretation of Dreams” when she was an adolescent and it had a profound effect on her. It became the catalyst for over 20 years of exploration and study of the major theories of psychology. The end result is an integration of parts of all the theories that allows Jeanne to design the treatment approach that best fits the needs of the client.
In 2001, Jeanne joined the private practice at MDS Counseling Center. She brought with her a vast amount of experience from having worked in the capacity of sexual abuse worker for Child Protective Services, college professor for graduate counseling students, workshop presenter and mental health counselor in the public and private sector. Her expertise is in the areas of women’s issues, trauma, sexual assault, divorce, depression and anxiety. Jeanne believes the right therapeutic relationship can release the client’s power to change and grow.
Jeanne has 2 offices, Littleton and Denver. Please call her scheduling service at (720) 898-9399 if you would like to make an appointment. She takes most insurances.
